Jamie Oliver's Fifteen started as a good idea...
It’s now the flagship restaurant in a group and the inspiration behind Fifteen Amsterdam (opened in 2004) and Fifteen Cornwall (opened in 2006).
Each restaurant redirects its profits into individual registered charities. The money raised funds unique training programmes for young people, in order to train the next generation of professional chefs.
Fifteen is a commercial business with a social purpose. Its aim is to use the magic of food to give unemployed young people a chance for a better future. Open 7 days a week, the restaurant was founded by Jamie Oliver and is owned by the Jamie Oliver Foundation.
Each Fifteen Restaurant offers pioneering Apprentice Programmes for young people, alongside the day-to-day running of commercially successful, busy restaurants. The restaurant is committed to producing the very best Italian-inspired food from the highest quality ingredients.
The restaurant was named after the first cohort of fifteen apprentices in 2002 - many of them have gone on to become professional chefs. You can read more on the Apprentice Programme page.
Jamie Oliver's Fifteen is committed to sourcing high quality, seasonal ingredients from the best suppliers throughout the UK and Italy. What this means is fresh, seasonal menus created by enthusiastic apprentices, overseen by a team of professional chefs.
